Grissom and Catherine stumble upon a "mini Jonestown" in this complex, riveting episode, which
includes the introduction of a new character who's only been mentioned before. Viewers get their first glimpse of Mrs. Warrick
Brown, and attractive nurse with a past (including an ex) that's sure to bring heat to their future. But back to the main
story. While investigating a murder, Gil and Catherine discover an old underground military bunker in the desert. Inside,
they find the dead bodies of 11 cult members lying on cots, each of them having drunk poison.

A family of four who lived in a small Nevada town is believed to have been murdered in their
home. Nick takes the lead in the case and discovers three pools of blood in the house, but no bodies. As the investigation
intensifies, Nick comes to believe that the youngest victim, a 10-year-old girl, may still be alive. But Sara disagrees. She
thinks Nick is getting too emotionally involved because of his recent near-death experience.
Creative Note: Episode was re-scripted at the last
minute to accomodate the absence of William Petersen (Grissom). George Eads (Nick) received most of his lines and an entire
scene involving an intimate Grissom/Sara encounter was cut (though rumors suggest it was filmed).

The two-part sixth-season ender concludes with one CSI team member struggling for life after
being shot. Meanwhile, the other CSIs investigate two cases. In the first, a headless corpse is found on a railroad track.
The victim's head is found in a nearby oil drum with a bullet hole in it. Even more bizarre is the fact that the dead man
has a tiny 19-inch waist. The second crime focuses on a man who died in his apartment during what apparently was a wild night
of sex, drugs, and alcohol.
