WHO SHOT SHERLOCK?
Mood:  cheeky
Topic: 511-515

What a way to get the ball rolling again...admittedly, the more intriguing case being the one referenced in the title. Even though Nick and Warrick's case seemed a little *yawn*, the overall effect of the episode was satisfactory.

Favorite Moment: Nick, Warrick, and Cath "fry" the Jeep.
Favorite Quote: "Did I make a mistake promoting you?" "Yeah. Should've given me day shift...but I'm makin' it work!" - Ecklie and Cath (respectively)

NO HUMANS INVOLVED
Mood:  irritated
Topic: 506-510

Pardon my ranting, but...what a bland episode! Both stoylines were weak and hard to follow. The main characters just seemed too "messed up!" Poor connections between all. And revelations about Sara's childhood just came all too quickly. Like the writers just dropped a huge bombshell on us!! And Grissom seemed morbid...I mean, the guy doesn't even know how to give a girl a proper gift!!

MEA CULPA
Mood:  down
Topic: 506-510

The execs timed this one just perfect: Don't make it the 100th ep because it'll kill the mood...Air it Thanksgiving Thursday and "nobody" will watch it, therefore prompting less complaints all at once...

Riiiiight...I saw it the day it aired and fought my damnedest not to complain too much...

Not only was the case boring, but it was entirely predictable...as was the split-up of the team...in the eps leading up to this one the teams pretty much foreshadowed how they would end up...at first I thought the writers made a bad move splitting the team up...as we all believed the teamings would become redundant and uninteresting...yet, senseless as they may be, these writers are clever...coming up with "excuses" to have the swing shift and night shift work intertwining cases...I'm not buyin' it!

Favorite Moment:

Favorite Quote: "Yeah. He's a friend. I sent him a card for his promotion. The guy was very touched by my thoughtfulness." - Hodges to Cath, about Ecklie

Note: The Latin term, "Mea Culpa" translates to "My Fault" in English.

CH-CH-CHANGES

Ahh...the 100th ep...great blend of humor, forensics, and character development (I think?)...Once again, the writers address a subject once considered taboo in the television industry. While the ep proves itself "different," it is perhaps also informative to us not-so-in-the-know about the topic of the transgendered...why they feel we ought to know about this stuff? I'm still not sure...

FORMALITIES
Mood:  suave
Topic: 506-510

With this ep starting off in a humorous manner (i.e. Grissom can't tie a bow tie, leaves Ecklie's toast calling it a "funeral," Cath gets stuck with his speech--er, napkin, etc.), it looked to be promising...while the case all in all proved interesting, the abrupt ending was anything but satisfying. We also get our first taste of Sofia, or as she has been called by "Geeklovers" everywhere, 'Sporkia.' She seems dry, uninteresting, and un-funny. Too bad Ecklie feels the same way, for her promotion to days' supervisor is now at Ecklie's disposal.

Favorite Moment: From the bowtie to the napkin...
Favorite Quote #1: "No, no, it's 'Rex,' you know, as in Rx. I guess it's a lot more subtle than 'drugstore,' right?" - Brass
Favorite Quote #2: "A napkin is not a speech." - Cath
